Restoring the site's heritage

The Grade II Listed vaults on site, previously formed part of the large storage and processing rooms for the Whitbread Brewery.

The basement area under LPREL ownership is not the same area as their above ground ownership.

The area highlighted in solid orange on the below basement plan identifies the extent of ownership. The above ground red line boundary is also overlaid for information, along with boundaries identifying when sections of the basement vaults were constructed.

Our proposals provide a sensitive, conservation led approach to the restoration of the vaults in our ownership, enabling both their re-use and public access

We seek to bring these spaces back into use and ensure their long-term survival. This will include the reuse of a section of the vaults, enabling access, and retention of the original fabric.
